A Conversational Agent for People with Cognitive, Language or Speech Impairment

During the last year, we have been actively developing an AI system for people with language or speech impairments. The system is an Open Source chatbot application that helps our target group in day-to-day situations with their communication and in understanding the communication of other people.

At the same time, we discussed the mitigation of offensive language in such an application in our paper for the Conversations 2025, 9th International Symposium on Chatbots and Human-Centered AI.
